A Time Lapsed 16-Bit Photoshop Conversion

March 26th, 2013

Designer, TJ Townsend gives us a look at how he turns a 16-bit screen shot of the video game Super Metroid and turns it into a work of at. The process is quite amazing. He takes pieces from frogs, motorcycles, an actual brain, and more to make this piece look ultra realistic. I really tip my hat to this fellow.

He seems to have a lot of these in his YouTube Channel. Make sure you check his work out. After the break is one of my favorites where he takes Sabrewulf’s Stage from Killer Instinct and converts it.

Note: He is using Adobe Photoshop CS3. It’s not the tools you use, it’s all in how you use them.
