At Georgia Southern University, we were pretty heavy into playing pool my freshmen year. If we weren’t at the RAC, eating Chick-Fil-A, or at Club Legends, we were shooting pool. Oh yeah, I forgot about class! THIS little doohickey here would definitely help improve a player’s pool game if used as a training tool. A couple of friends at the University of the Algarve in Portigal have come up with a augmented reality laser guide system. It detects the position of the ball and the cue and the table using cameras mounted into the ceiling. The system is still in it’s infancy stages and unavailable to buy but is still cool.
